Garden Update

The weather has continued to be very mixed, occasional sunshine and a few showers but the garden does not worry about that as it pushes on into Spring with the longer daylight hours meaning that the solar powered leaves can do their job.

The tulips are going strong, perhaps a little faded in the upper part of the walled garden but lots of new blooms getting ready to open in the lower borders and the white border is also looking good. The bluebells in the top of the woodland area have been looking good and the wild garlic is continuing to flower, this should peak over the coming week to produce a massive white carpet across much of the woodland floor. Around the garden there is blossom on many trees especially below the house with tadpoles in the pond in that area too and lots of ferns in the shady areas and damp walls. As visitors have increased recently the tea rooms are now fully stocked 7 days a week so you can take a break whenever you like and if you have a doggy friend with you then there might be a cheeky dog biscuit behind the Bothy door.
